Active Learning International (ALI) was founded in 1991 by Dr Carlos A. Raimundo in Sydney, Australia. Established as the umbrella organisation for his groundbreaking method, the Play of Life (originally known as Le Petit Psychodrama), ALI also serves as the foundation for future tools and innovations.

What We Do
Active Learning International is a service and training organisation offering:
- Practical training tools for professionals in human services, education, leadership, and business coaching—helping them achieve greater effectiveness, fulfilment, and distinction in their work.
- Support for individuals seeking to enhance their lives, particularly in their relationships.
- Access to our Global Practitioner Registry, connecting seekers with accredited ALI practitioners (coming soon)
Our Approach
Our methods are rooted in contemporary neuroscience, psychodrama, psychology, and sociology. These tools accelerate insight and behavioural change by leveraging a “bottom-up” communication process in the brain. By directly engaging the emotional brain (the limbic system), we bypass defence mechanisms to create lasting change.
